SUFFRAGE CENTENNIAL WRAPUP
Our suffrage centennial wrapup also includes the efforts underway to make August 26th (Women’s Equality Day) a national holiday. There are no federal observances dealing with women. During 2020, the Turning Point Suffragist Memorial was opened. And the first statue celebrating US women voting rights activism was unveiled in Central Park in New York City by Monumental Women.

It’s all in the book, An Unfinished Revolution: Edna Buckman Kearns and the Struggle for Women’s Rights, by Marguerite Kearns and released by SUNY Press (State University of New York) this summer of 2021.
